Tips for Saving on Groceries

  • Try to buy bulk food. Many stores called “markets” buy and sell in bulk
  • Independent markets are often less pricey for fruits and vegetables
  • Large stores with memberships often give special prices to their members
  • Try buying as a group to get the case price
  • Buy wholesale for bread and freeze what you do not use
  • The library has books on how to save on food costs
