Casual Public Services Technician
Surrey Libraries invites applications for the positions of casual Public Services Technician. The Public Services Technician performs a variety of duties related to providing exceptional customer service and programming, to maintain efficient, welcoming and inclusive library operations. This position may be assigned duties with an area of responsibility such as youth, information, digital or other services. This position reports to the Manager, Training and Public Services.
Hours of work vary and availability to work evenings, weekends and peak vacation times (spring break, summer break, Christmas break and the days preceding/following statutory holidays) is required. This is an on-call casual position, working up to 35 hours per week. Applicants must be willing to travel to all 10 branches.
Start date: September 2025
Students completing their Library Technology Diploma in August 2025 are encouraged to apply.
MLIS students who have completed core courses may be considered.
