Chronicling the Times of Our Ancestors: Researching in Newspaper Archives
Thursday, January 30 2025, 2–3pm
Cloverdale Branch
Family history isn’t only about discovering our ancestors’ names and dates. It’s also about their stories. One of the best places to look for these is in online newspaper archives. In this talk, presenter Margaret M. Sharon will share some stories from her family history. She'll also help you find and search digitized newspaper archives. You'll be able to learn more about your ancestors’ lives too.
Margaret Sharon is a retired computer consultant who has been finding her ancestors and learning their stories for almost 50 years. She is a longtime BC Genealogical Society member and enjoys helping others in their genealogical journeys.
