Creative Writing Workshop on Fiction with Luca Santamaria

Wednesday, June 11 2025, 6–7:30pm
Newton Branch

Are you writing a work of fiction or possibly planning to? Would you like to get some tips and advice from an expert? This is your chance. Luca Santamaria will be leading this workshop and sharing his knowledge with you.

Luca is a writer, bird-whisperer, leaf-lover, floral shirt enthusiast, and poet who lives on the unceded ancestral territories of the Kwantlen, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Qayqayt, and Kwikwetlem nations. Luca served as the Director of Kwantlen Poetry Project and the Vice President of Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Creative Writing Guild for 3 years. He has been published in PulpMag and the Delta Literary Arts Society’s 2024 Composed anthology. You can usually find Luca taking himself much too seriously in the marshes of your neighborhood bird sanctuary or frolicking in the woods like a satyr when he thinks no one is watching.
