Genealogy and Eastern Europe Border Changes

Anyone researching their family history in Eastern Europe probably has faced the challenges that changing borders present. In this program, Edie Adam will use findings from her family history research to demonstrate the key factors -- time and place -- and how to use them to your advantage.

The presenter for this program, Edie Adam, is neither a professional genealogist nor a historian. But after a career as a journalist, she has learned how to put facts together to tell a story. And that's her favorite kind of research. She lives on the East Coast in the United States and descends from German-speaking ancestors who lived in communities around Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia.  She is a long-standing member of the Society for German Genealogy in Eastern Europe.

For this online program, we will be using Microsoft Teams. You will need a computer with a microphone (or headphones) and webcam, or your smartphone, or an iPad/tablet.
