Main Content/Page Types

This guide doesn't cover events, which should created by an events editor and can be guided by the events team. It also doesn't cover book content type which is used for holding long text heavy content that would have previously been in PDFs. It also doesn't cover location pages.
These are used for letting users know about service changes or closures. They are brief, 1-2 sentences, but can link to pages with further information.
These are used for temporary content that doesn't have a long term place in the menu structure. Typically things like media releases, contests, inclusion calendar booklists, or complex closures.
Basic pages are the standard pages used to build much of our website. These are intended for long term or permanent content. They generally will have a place in the overall navigational menus.
These are used if we need to collect some sort of information from patrons, or we want to give them a way to communicate with us.
