Website Demo Page: Alert

Description

Learn about using alerts on our website.

Alerts are a great option when you need to share information with users that is temporary and brief (2-3 sentences max). They also work when you don't want to make a full news page, or you need to highlight a change to page content that is important and might be missed. Typically we use these for service interruptions, but they were also heavily used during COVID as our service levels changed.

Website alerts can added to any page on our website, or across all pages. Site wide alerts are used for high level issues or changes that effect the entire system. Page specific alerts are used when the issue is for a specific branch, database, or service.

LMT has an internal document with approved language for alerts that can be used as a sample or for adapting.

Alerts can be scheduled to appear and disappear.
