Erase to Create: A Blackout Poetry Workshop

Friday, April 4 2025, 3–4pm
Semiahmoo Branch

This program is for adults.

Join us for this interactive workshop! Participants will transform excerpts from books, magazines, or newspapers into unique poetic works. Using markers to black out text, participants will learn the technique of selectively picking words and phrases to create their own visual poetry. In celebration of National Poetry Month, this workshop aims to highlight the joy of finding poetry in unexpected places.

This workshop is provided in English and Conversational Hindi by local author and artist, Adishi Gupta.

All supplies provided.
