Sign Up For A Library Card From Home
Surrey residents can currently signup for a library card from home to access our online library! For those who cannot come into our branches, we offer online library card sign up available remotely. Online resources are available to Surrey residents only. Please note, suggesting titles for our collection is only available to patrons who have received a physical library card from one of our 10 branches.
Babies, kids, and people of all ages can get a free library card! Come in to any of our locations, and bring in identification that shows your name, photo, and current address. You can become a member if you live in Surrey or in one of our neighbouring communities. If your ID does not have a photo, please bring 2 pieces of ID. One piece of ID must include your address. All ID must be current (not expired) and original (no copies).
Kids under 12 must be with a parent or guardian, and will also need government issued identification.
Note: A current Canadian, U.S. or Foreign Driver’s License will be accepted
Note: Proof of address via an e-Bill from patron's electronic device will be accepted

If your library card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately to any branch. We will put a stop on your card to prevent anyone else from using it. You can get a replacement card when you next visit a library branch.
