Website Demo Page: Basic Pages
Learn about basic pages, their formatting, and find some sample pages (this is the page description).
Basic pages will generally have a place in the overall navigation, unless they are intentionally being hidden, like these pages. They are generally intended for longer term content.
Structure of a Basic Page
Basic page have a general structure but can be customized by adding different content blocks. Every basic pages has the following in this order:
- A page title. Will appear at the top of the page as an H1 heading. Should clearly identify the page in plain language
- A page description. Should further introduce the content in 1-2 sentences.
- A body (text) block. This block is there by default and can't be removed but can be left blank if not needed. This text has been entered in the default body block. Note the added space between the page description and the default body block that starts with "Basic pages will generally...."
- Content blocks. These are also optional and can be used in a wide range of combinations. You can view the various content blocks on a separate sample page.
Sample Basic Pages
Below are all samples of basic pages. These should give you a sense for typical pages on our site. Pages don't need to follow an identical formatting, but generally we want to avoid created pages that have a dramatically different user experience.
